Black Panther Star Chadwick Boseman Awarded MTV Best Hero Award to James Shaw Jr.

The 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards took a turn after the Black Panther Star Chadwick Boseman handed over his Best Hero Award to the Wafflehouse hero James Shaw Jr

The BP hero received an award for his performance in the Marvel's Black Panther superhero film. The star took to stage and went on to honor the real-life hero of the waffle house incident.

After receiving the award, Chad first thanked his fans,

Thank You to the fans! You made this movie special. You made this moment special.

He went on to add the difference of a reel life hero and a real-life hero saying, 

Receiving an award for playing a superhero is amazing but, it's even greater to acknowledge the heroes that we have in real life.

Furthermore, he showed off his respect to James, the person who saved hundreds of people during the Wafflehouse incident at Tennessee where he battled with a gunman to save the lives of others. 

The actor called the hero up on the stage before awarding him his Best Hero Award.

James was regarded as a hero after he fought off an alleged gunman and disarmed him during firing at the Waffle House, Nashville area in Tennessee. 

Following his win, Black Panther's villain, Michael B. Jordan also won the award for Best Villain and joked about Roseanne being the real winner of that award.
