Beth Chapman Welcomes First Great-Grandchild Amid Throat Cancer Battle

A happy moment for Beth Chapman and  Duane 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' Chapman! The couple has welcomed their first great-grandchild amid the television personality's throat cancer battle.

Beth, 51, took to Instagram on Friday, January 25, to announce that she has become a great-grandmother.

Alongside a series of photos of herself with the newborn, she wrote, "My first great grand baby he’s adorable and he’s precious and he came 5 weeks early to meet me".

Beth can be seen all smiling as she holds the baby in a hospital room in Honolulu.

Tagging her grandson Dakota Chapman, 23, who welcomed the newest addition to the family with his girlfriend, Beth continued,

Nothing more beautiful or inspiring than the birth of a new baby A new Generation of Chapman’s you will be an amazing father I’m very proud of you.

Additionally, Beth tagged her son and Dakota’s father, Leland Chapman to congratulate him on his first grand baby.

Leland, 42, is the third of Duane Chapman's 12 children. His mother is bounty hunter's first wife, La Fonda Sue Darnall.

The baby news comes as Beth began chemotherapy for throat cancer. Andrew R. Brettler, the couple’s lawyer, in a statement earlier this month that the reality star started treatment in Los Angeles. in December,

The attorney added that "they are going well but they certainly take their toll on her."

Sources confirmed in November that doctors found that Beth's throat cancer has returned after she underwent emergency surgery.

Beth had revealed in September 2017 that she was diagnosed with stage II throat cancer.
