Everything is officially over for Ben Affleck and his estranged wife Jennifer Garner. The Alias actress, who filed for divorce from estranged husband in April 2017, has reached a settlement with the Justice League actor, three years after announcing their split.
According to TMZ reports, a property settlement has been reached, with the estranged couple getting joint custody of their children, Violet Affleck, 12, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck, 9, and Samuel Garner Affleck, 6.
As per the report, sorting out the duo’s finances was complicated, as they did not have a prenuptial agreement; they shared all of their earnings for the duration of their 12-year marriage.
The divorce settlement comes just a few days after Ben, 46, entered rehab for alcohol abuse on, following an intervention at his Pacific Palisades home with Jennifer and a sober coach.
The final settlement will reportedly be signed and filed with the court upon the actor's release from treatment.
Ben previously sought treatment in 2001 and again in 2017, and he has continued to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings since.
As previously reported, Jennifer gave Ben another chance to ‘Work on His Health’, and according to new court documents obtained at the time, the pair warned by an L.A. Superior Court judge that if they can’t settle their case, he would call it off.
State of Play star has already moved on with a new girlfriend; Ben is dating Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus, 38.
