Ben is expected to rework the entire screenplay. The latest script was written by writer Nic Pizzolatto while an earlier draft was presented by Henry Gayden.

The film depicts the true story of an army of recruits taken from art schools, advertisement agencies and other businesses whose main purpose was to fool the Nazis and make them believe that the United States had a larger army than it actually did.
