Barry Manilow is an American singer, songwriter, arranger, musician, and producer was born on June 17, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, the United States of America to Harold Pincus, father, and Edna Manilow, mother. He is best known for his 1970's hits "I write the songs", "Mandy", and "Copacabana". 

1960

Worked as pianist, producer and arranger

Barry started working as a pianist, producer, and arranger in the year of 1960. Prior to that, he worked along with CBS director, Bro Herrod to arrange some songs for the melodrama, The Drunkard instead he wrote an entirely original score which enjoyed an eight-year run at New York's 13 Street Theatre. 

1978

Won the American Music Awards

Talented Barry won the American Music Awards in the year of 1978 for being the favorite pop/rock male artist. Likewise, continuously for next two years, he won another American Music Awards. At the same year, his television movie, Copacabana also won the Grammy award.     

2010

In 2010, Barry's album, Greatest Love Songs of All time got nominated for the best traditional Pop Vocal Album. Similarly, in the year 2012 and 2016, the albums, 15 minutes and My Dream Duets was nominated for the same award.

A 1970’s singer, Barry Manilow completed his elementary education from the Eastern District High School before joining the City College of New York. Later he graduated from there and entered the New York College of Music. At the same time, he also worked at CBS in order to pay his all expenses.

Talented Barry Manilow has released numerous numbers of albums throughout his career such as One Voice, Ultimate Manilow, In the Swing of Christmas, The Essential Barry Manilow, Forever and Beyond, My Dream Duets, etc. Besides, his album, which helped him to come to the spotlight, was the “Greatest Hits”.          

Barry Manilow has also made debut in television series, Manilow Special, Barry Manilow: Big Fun on Swing Street, and movies like The Barry, and Barry Manilow: Copacabana, Manilow: Live, Unconditional Love, Manilow: Music & Passion, etc. Correspondingly, Barry has also won several awards. Some of them are American Music Awards for three times, Grammy Copacabana, Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, etc. Similarly, he has also nominated for Grammy awards for best traditional vocal albums Greatest Love Songs of All-time, 15 Minutes, and My Dream Duets in 2010, 2012, and 2016 respectively.  

Moving towards his personal life, Barry first married to beautiful wife Susan Deixler. However, the couple split up after only a year of marriage to begin his musical adventure. He then later began a relationship with Garry Kief, TV executive and the couple got married after same-sex marriage was legalized in California. Manilow confirmed his sexual orientation being a gay on April 2017.      

Barry has earned a huge amount money by his musical career.  There are many female fans who has admired him. According to 2017, it is estimated that his net worth is around to be $100 million.
