Barack Obama and Wife Michelle Obama Send Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez a Letter on Engagement

Of course, it feels good to be loved by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama! The former president and his wife congratulated newly engaged couple, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, in a different way. They sent a sweet handwritten letter on their engagement.

The former New York Yankees player, 43, took to his  Instagram and Twitter pages on Friday, March 22, and shared a photo of the sweet note captioning them, "This means the world to us. #44."

The note read,

Jennifer + Alex — Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement. After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better. All the best, Barack Obama

Jennifer, 49, and Alex, 43, announced their engagement on March 9, by sharing an Instagram photo from the romantic proposal in which the singer left hand in his to show off her stunning engagement ring.

The sportsman popped the question with an estimated $1.4 million emerald-cut diamond ring in the Bahamas. The couple began dating in February 2017.

Alex was previously married to ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, with who he shares daughters Ella, 10 and Natasha, 13. The former couple tied the knot in 2002 and got a divorce after six years of marriage in 2008.

Jennifer, meanwhile, was previously married to ex-husband Marc Anthony, Cris Judd (2001-2003) and Ojani Noa (1997-1998). She shares twins Max and Emme with Anthony.
