Ashlan Gorse Gives Birth, Welcomes First Child, a Baby Girl, With Husband Philippe Cousteau

Ashlan Gorse and Philippe Cousteau are now parents! The Caribbean Pirate Treasure hosts welcomed their first child, a baby girl, together on Thursday, May 23.

The couple confirmed the birth of their daughter, who they have named Vivienne, exclusively to Us Weekly.

The told the outlet in a joint statement,

Meeting this little person that we made together has been the most incredible experience of our lives. We always say adventure is where you lead a full life and this adventure will be the best of all. We are so blessed.

As we previously reported, the Ashlan, 38, and Philippe, 39, announced in November that they were expecting their first child together, listing the due date late May.

The new mom also shared a series of photos of herself showing off her growing baby bump at the time.

The new parents first met when she attended a talk about the 2010 BP oil spill where he was a featured speaker.

After dating for two years, they eventually got engaged in Paris in October 2012.

The pair married in a civil ceremony at the City Hall of the 8th arrondissement in Paris on September 25, 2013.

They held a second ceremony at the Château d’Esclimont in Saint-Symphorien-le-Château on September 28, 2013.
