Arthel Neville, an American journalist, and TV personality is best known as the weekend anchor for Fox News Channel alongside co-anchor Eric Shawn. 56-year-old Neville is professional since 1980 and has hosted programs like Fox Files and Celebrity Spotlight.

Arthel Neville's Early Life: Family Background

Born on October 20, 1962, Neville is the daughter of Doris Neville and Art Neville. Her father Art Neville is the founder of the New Orleans music groups The Hawketts, The Meters, and The Neville Brothers. She also has a brother named Ian Neville.

Arthel, after her graduation, moved to New York to pursue acting and modeling and was a recurring role on the soap opera Days of Our Lives before returning to New Orleans to enroll in pre-pharmacy at Xavier University.  

Later, Neville shifted to journalism at Southern Methodist University and made a transfer to the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a bachelors degree in journalism.

Arthel Neville's Net Worth And Career Details 

While being a junior at the University of Texas at Austin School of Journalism, Arthel Neville began her career as a general assignment reporter at KVUE-TV and became the first female African-American on-air reporter at KVUE-TV.

Following her University graduation, Neville worked as a reporter/anchor for WWL and in 1988, made a one-year stint as a reporter for Houston's KHOU-TV.

In 1991, Neville co-produced and hosted E! celebrity show called Extreme Close-Up for 3 years where her interviews counted over 2000 with stars like Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Sharon Stone, singer Sade, and many others.

The co-host of the Miss Teen USA 1993 pageant and the Miss Universe 1994 pageant, Neville also made her appearances in soap opera and sitcoms like Days of Our Lives, Girlfriends, Moesha, Living Single, and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Having briefly worked in CNN alongside Anderson Cooper, she joined as the lead anchor for the Fox 5 Morning News on August 1, 2008.

In May 2009, she launched a show called Conversations with Arthel Neville, a one-on-one celebrity interview but returned to Fox News Channel in June 2010.

Currently the weekend anchor at Fox News Channel, Arthel Neville is alleged to be enjoying the annual salary of around $100,000 while her net worth is estimated to be $1.7 million.

Along with a huge net worth, Arthel has also earned notable honors which include Outstanding Young Texas Ex Award,  Texas Exes 2016 Distinguished Alum, and Moody College of Communication.

Arthel Neville's Married Life: Plans For Children

Probably, many of us know that 5ft 8 inches tall Arthel Neville has been married twice in her life. She was first married to her husband Derrick Lassic, a former footballer of Dallas Cowboys. The former couple met at the Miss USA pageant in South Padre Island in February 1994 where she was a co-host.

Arthel and Derrick got married on April 22, 1995, but the marriage lasted for 3 years only as they divorced in 1998. Neither of them disclosed the reason for their separation.

Neville and her first husband didn't share any children while they were in a relationship.

As for a fact, Taku Hirano proposed to Arthel in Venice, Italy, and the couple took their vows on a beach in Hawaii. The couple went to Japan for their honeymoon where Arthel met Hirano's parents.  

Arthel and her second husband are free from divorce mishaps but also are yet to share children of their own. The couple has not talked on their plans for having children meanwhile.
