Salma Hayek is a Mexican-American actress who came into the spotlight after her appearance in the 2002 film Frida as the lead character, Frida. The 51 years old former model has a net worth of $84 million as per the estimation of 2017. Likewise, her annual income in 2017 was over $9 million.

Hayek has been doing quite well in her career, and her earnings are also escalating. As per the reports, her net worth increased by almost $12 million in less than two years. Her income features her salary and earnings from her film career and promotional works.

The Grown Ups star is married to the French businessman François-Henri Pinault since 2009. Hayek's husband is the CEO of the international luxury group Kering. The group owns several luxury brands including Gucci, Laurent, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Volcom as well as Puma. The Kering group had a revenue of over $15 billion in 2016.

Hayek entered the film industry in Mexico and landed doing the lead role in the 1989 Mexican telenovela, Teresa. Further, she also starred in the multiple award-winning film Miracle Alley in 1994.

Hayek moved to Los Angeles and starred in Robert Rodriguez's 1994 film Desperado alongside Antonio Banderas. She also appeared in Will Smith's western action comedy film Wild Wild West. The film didn't do as expected but was able to collect over $221 million worldwide. The budget of the film was $170 million.

Later, in 2003, she reiterated her character from Desperado in the Mariachi Trilogy Once Upon a Time in Mexico featuring Johnny Depp. The film earned over $98 million, and Hayek's salary was around half a million for her role in the film. 

The Mexican descendent also produced and directed the 2003 TV movie The Maldonado Miracle and was able to win a Daytime Emmy award for the movie.



Later, in 2006, she became the executive producer of American comedy-drama, Ugly Betty. The show won the Golden Globe Awards in 2007 for Best Comedy Series. Later that year, she became the CEO of her own film production company, Ventanarosa.


Hayek annual salary reached over $6 million in 2013 and her net worth by that time was around $50 million. She also appeared in the 2010 comedy film Grown Ups, playing the wife of Adam Sandler and also starred in the animated film, Push in Boots as a voice actor to the character Kitty Softpaws.
