David Cassidy is in critical condition. The 67-year-old former Partridge Family actor was rushed to a Florida hospital on Wednesday and since he has been there, a representative for David confirmed to Entertainment Tonight.
The rep. told ET;
His organs are failing. He is currently conscious and surrounded by family.
David has also been suffering from dementia, after being diagnosed with the disease more than two years ago. He initially kept the disease a secret but after concert footage showed him struggling to recall lyrics, he went public.
After Suffering ‘Organ Failure’ David Cassidy In ‘Critical Condition’ In Hospital
In February, during an interview with Dr. Phil, David revealed about his diagnosis and his fears following his mother, Evelyn Ward's, the death of Alzheimer's-related dementia in 2012.
[I fear being] in a place my mother was the last two years of her life, where I would completely disappear. I'd just be a burden to caretakers and couldn't walk, couldn't talk, couldn't sing, couldn't play. That's kind of my greatest fear.
