The estranged couple has a 6-year-old son, Angelo Adkins. It's unclear if the two are planning for a divorce filing.
It's unknown when and how the pop star, 30, and the CEO for Drop4Drop, 45, first met and began dating. However, the pair made their relationship public in January 2012.
Six months later in July 2012, they announced that they were expecting their first child together. They welcomed an adorable baby boy that October.
The 15-time Grammy-winning singer opened up about sentiment about her relationship with the businessman during an interview with Vanity Fair in December 2016.
She told the outlet at the time,
It’s the most serious relationship I’ve ever been in; we’ve got a child together and we live together. After releasing my first album , all the other people I ever was with were so insecure about themselves — they couldn’t handle it at all. When I try to describe this to my friends they don’t always get it, because they go out with people that are our age, but Simon is already who he is, and I’m still becoming who I’m going to be. He’s confident. He’s perfect.
The duo tied the knot in December 2016. However, they kept the wedding secret for a few months.
While accepting Album of the Year Award at Grammy Awards 2017, she called Simon "my husband."
One month later, at a concert in Brisbane, Australia, she finally confirmed their marriage; she told fans, "I’m married now. I’ve found my next person."
The businessman was previously married to his stylist ex-wife Clary Fisher (2004-2008), with who he shares a 9-year-old daughter.
