The woman was first rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and one day later on Sunday, February 3, she was transferred to another hospital when her condition improved.
The gun reportedly was unregistered. As per the report, the boy’s father told authorities that he borrowed the firearm for protection. Authorities are investigating the case.
According to new state law, gun owners could face criminal charges for storing a gun unsafely. However, Ryan noted that the law will only effect since July.
