A young boy from Florida chose police as his company at the times of his loneliness. Well, it may sound unusual but the boy called 911 just because he was feeling lonely and wanted an officer responding to his call to be his friend, the Tallahassee Police Department.

The officer attending the call reportedly responded as politely he could and explained that 911 is reserved for emergencies, assuring the kid that "he’d always be a friend!”

In fact, the Tallahassee Police Department took to Facebook to write about the little boy's cute request with a couple of photos together with him.

The police department hashtagged the post with #positiveencounters, #mentoring and #communitypolicing and captioned the photo saying "We have a new friend!" at the end.

The police officer who goes by the name Joe White gifted the boy a stuffed animal from the department and went on a patrolling in the police vehicle as they spent time together.

Well, the effort made by the department and the police officer is worth appreciation and the world undoubtedly need more of similar attitude coming from people with such platform.
