A security guard fatally shot and killed an unarmed and naked man in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, March 31. The guard says he shot the man in self-defense which seems inconsistent.

Dallas police responded to the Oasis Apartments on East Ledbetter Drive at 10:30 p.m. where they found a 32-year-old man, who's been identified as Christopher Willard, was with a gunshot wound to his chest.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, Baylor Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

As per the reports, Christopher was involved in an altercation with a female security guard at the scene 30 minutes before the shooting occurred. According to the court records obtained, Christopher punched the woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, in the face.

Security Officer Vincent Hobbs, 32, and several other guards went to the room where the man was staying to confront him.

The fight reportedly started in the apartment and spilled into the hall. Other security guards were subduing Christopher while Vincent shot him.

Vincent initially told police that he was acting in self-defense as the man was charging at him with a gun. However, his claims turned to be wrong after which police arrested him and charged with murder.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Chris was both unarmed and undressed when he was shot. The report cited witness testimony and body camera footage from one of the security officers.

Vincent posted bail and was released from Dallas County Jail on Monday.
