Two 8-year-old twin boys, who were found dead, were reportedly killed by their grandmother, Arizona authorities have confirmed.

According to the deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, Dorothy Flood, 55, was arrested and charged with the shooting deaths of her grandchildren.

She was taken into custody on Friday, April 5, just a day after the twins, Jaden Webb and Jordan Webb, were found dead with gunshot wounds.

Paramedics were called to the grandma's home on Thursday afternoon after receiving a call for medical assistance.

Deputies said, "Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive adult female inside the residence." Paramedics were working to revive Dorothy when they found the two boys in separate bedrooms.

Deputies said that the woman had symptoms of an apparent overdose and thus she was rushed to a local hospital. She was reportedly later jailed without bail. Friends and family members have been wondering what happened.

Dorothy had taken custody of the two kids after their mother died of an apparent suicide two of years ago.

The grandma still says that she loved the twins and gave "her whole heart" to them. The investigation is going on.
