Four people, including three children, were killed in an apparent shooting in Kent County, Michigan on Monday, February 18, authorities have confirmed.
The shooting occurred at approx. 3 p.m. in Solon Township, which is nearly 7 miles west of Cedar Springs.
Sheriff Michelle LaJoye Young told media that the area is now a "stable scene". There is no threat to public safety.

Michelle said the victims, who all reported to have gunshot wounds, include one female adult and three children.
He said the situation was possibily a murder-suicide and it is "certainly one of the avenues we're investigating", adding that it's too early to find what exactly happened.
The sheriff didn't clarify if the bodies were found outside or inside the home. No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
Certainly a horrific thing to be called to and my heart goes out to the families involved here and the community. We're certainly going to do everything we can to bring this to a quick resolution.
Authorities, who are investigating the case will soon, give an update on the shooting.
