3 People Shot in Miami Suburb by 3 Suspects: Suffered Traumatic Injuries

Three people were shot by three suspects with what police say was an AK-47 rifle on Saturday, December 8. Investigators in Opa-locka, Florida - 13 miles north of downtown Miami - have been searching for three suspects.

Two of the victims, who suffered traumatic injuries in the tragic incident, were rushed to a local hospital.

The third victim, meanwhile, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to Miami FOX affiliate WSVN-TV report.

The report said that one suspect fired at a responding officer but he missed it. The shooting reportedly occurred just before 9:30 p.m.

K-9 unit officers checked whether the suspects entered nearby apartments or flee the area on foot.

On the same day, at around 2 p.m. another shooting had happened when a gunman opened fire outside a northwest Miami-Dade County Walmart - near Northwest 79th Street and Northwest 32nd Avenue.

The shooting caused shoppers to panic, however, no one was hurt in the incident.
