A shooting occurred in a home invasion in Kentucky has left a woman, namely Alyssia Rodriguez, 21, killed and a man named Charles Hopewell, also 21, wounded.
Kentucky State Police said they were called to a Scottsville home at approx. 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16. When the troopers arrived at the scene, they found two 21 years old victims.

Investigators said the man and woman were inside their home when "unknown armed person(s)" got inside the house and opened fire.
Alyssia, who was struck in the head, was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was pronounced dead on Sunday morning.
Charles, who was fortunately struck "in the head area," was treated and released from a local hospital. According to a WLEX-TV report, two other people, including a child, were also inside the home when the shooting occurred but none others were not injured.
Police detectives are investigating the incident murder with the assistance of Scottsville Police.
