13-Year-Old Girl from Texas Dies After Classmates Brutally Attack Her

The 13-year-old girl from Texas, Kashala Francis died less than a week after her classmates beat her as she was returning home from Attucks Middle School in Houston, Texas.

Kashala was bullied by two of her fellow students and one of the girls reportedly kicked Francis in her head, where medical officials later discovered a tumor. 

Francis passed away on Wednesday morning at the Texas Children's Hospital.

According to authorities, they are quite unclear as to what caused the death, the tumor or the violence. 

The 13-year-old reportedly came home from school after she the attack on Thursday with a cut on her face.

On returning she insisted to her mother that she was fine.

A few days later, her family noticed her delusional behavior and by Sunday, Kashala was complaining about painful headache she was enduring.

As told by her mom, Francis informed that her head hurt and lay down and by the time medical personnel arrived she was already unconscious. 

Soon after she dozed off into a coma, during which the doctors located a large tumor at the back of her brain and fluid which had accumulated in her brain.

Victor Senties of Houston Police Department spokesperson informed that Kashala' death is being investigated while they were still waiting for the autopsy results.

In an interview with ABC News he said,

Until the autopsy is finished, we won't know, 

May the departed teenage rest in peace.
