The MGM Media was thinking of remaking the action superhit movie Road House in 2015 as it had been already announced that the MMA UFC fighter Ronda Rousey was selected to star in the remake of the movie. On October 12, 2015, it was announced that the famed director cum writer, Nick Cassavetes was chosen to write and direct the film.

However, the plans for the remake of the movie was dropped later on. The reason? Well, the reason for the movie being called off is still not publicized. The movie was quietly annulled in 2016 and put on hold until May 2017. Now, it has come to the news that the movie directors want Ryan Reynold's wife Blake Lively in their lead role.
Now, it seems the remake of the movie has not failed. Cassavetes had finished the script in 2017 and the movie was set to start filming since September the same year but, there have been delays. Let's just hope the movie soon gets its remake!
The son of the famed Hollywood stars, Nick Cassavetes was born Nicholas David Rowland Cassavetes on May 21, 1959. Currently, 59 years' old, Nick grew up surrounded by the film industry as both of his parents were film stars. He was brought up in the Hollywood along with his sister, Alexandra Cassavetes.

Since he was brought up in a filming environment, he didn't want to enter the same profession as his parents so, he attended the Syracuse University on his athletic basis but, his athletic career ended with an injury. He has directed several movies including John Q, Alpha Dog, She’s So lovely, Unhook the Stars, The Notebook, and My Sister’s Keeper. He came fifth in the World Poker Tour( WPT) Invitational Season 5, attempting a bluff. He also appeared on season 5 of the Game Show Networks’s ( GSN), High Stakes Poker.
He also has played in the season 7 opener of Entourage on HBO and Tatto Joe as a cameo in The Hangover: Part II, replacing Liam Neeson from the cast due to scheduling conflicts. He is a gifted speed reader.
