Barack Obama completed his high school in 1979 and moved to Los Angeles to attend "Occidental College." In 1981, he transferred to Columbia College of the Columbia University in the New York City, where he majored in political science. As well as, specialized in international relations and English literature as well as completed his BA in 1983.

In 1996, Barack was elected to the Illinois Senate, then re-elected to the Illinois Senate in 1998 and initially become the chairman of the Illinois Senate's Health and Human Services Committee. In 2004, he resigned the Illinois Senate and stood for the U.S. Senate election.
On 3rd January 2005, Barack Obama swore as a senator, became the only Senate member of the Congressional Black ethnicity. After working for the two years as a Senate, he announced his candidacy for President of the United States on 10th February 2007.

Further, he reduced 30% in fleet gasoline and 26 percent boost in water efficiency, as well as issued orders to all federal agencies to cut down on their environmental impact until 2020.
