Scottish actor Ewan McGregor snapped on roof shooting the new Trainspotting movie
Ewan McGregor is a Scottish actor who has been scorching our screens ever since his first professional role back in 1993. This tall and handsome hunk has since appeared in many movies and TV series. Currently, he is working on the sequel to his 1996 movie Trainspotting.
Trainspotting2 is upcoming British comedy crime movie set to release in 2017. For this movie full of action packed sequence this muscled hunk was seen balancing on a pub roof doing his own stunts in Glasgow. The actor is seen climbing out of a window at the top of the fictitious Leith drinking spot, Port Sunshine. Ewan was pictured attached to a rope during the dramatic scenes, hinting that he may be pulling more of the dangerous stunts. McGregor‘s character appeared bloodied and slashed up his arm after tumbling off the roof of a moving car in new scenes. Moreover, it is also speculated that the character may die by slipping on one of the pub's roof tiles.
The new film is based on novelist Welsh's follow-up book, Porno, which is being adapted by screenwriter John Hodge for the big screen.In Porno, Renton owns a nightclub in Amsterdam, Spud is actually trying to kick his drug habit, whereas Begbie is being released from prison. This sequel to Trainspotting is set ten years after the first one with an alternative backdrop of the pornography business, rather than heroin use. Though being based on a novel, it still unclear what mischief the gang is going to get up to in Trainspotting 2.
For the sequel Ewan has reunited with Robert Carlyle, Jonny Lee Miller and Bremner from the original black comedy - which was nominated for an Academy Award. Robert Carlyle had confirmed that filming would be kicking off as he joined Trainspotting's literary author Irvine at The Usher Hall in Edinburgh. it marked the film's 20th anniversary.
Trainspotting was shot in Glasgow for seven weeks on a budget of £1.5million. However, it managed to earn a remarkable figure of £48million at the worldwide box office. The British dramedy - set in Edinburgh - is considered a classic by critics. It also spawned two thrilling soundtracks and its famous 'Choose Life' slogan is one of the best known quotes from a modern film.
McGregor loves playing gay. He’s played gay in The Pillow Book, The Velvet Goldmine, and I Love You Phillip Morris. But his personal love life is more than a proof that McGregor is as straight as he can be. He has been married to his girlfriend Eve Mavrakis since 1995. She is a French production designer, with whom his affair started on the set of Kavanagh QC. They have four daughters. McGregor has heart and dagger tattoos of the names of his wife and daughters on his right arm.
