Sandra Kaye-Smith better known as Sandra Smith is an American television reporter, for the Fox Business Network (FBN) and co-host of Outnumbered on the Fox News Channel (FNC) in New York City. Sandra is originally from Wheaton, Illinois, Chicago and was born on 22 September 1980. Smith’s ran Track & Field while she was still an undergraduate at Louisiana State University.
Smith graduated from Wheaton Warrenville South High School in 1998. She received three letters in cross country and two letters in track at Wheaton Warrenville South where Smith was the cross country team captain as a senior. She later graduated with Bachelor of Fine Arts from Stephens College, Missouri. She was an Illinois High School Association state qualifier, and earned All-DuPage Valley Conference honor and was an Academic All-Conference selection.
Sandra attended Illinois State University in Bloomington and got transferred to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge for 2002. Smith graduated from LSU after taking some business classes and minored in speech. Sandra’s father was a floor trader at Chicago’s Mercantile Exchange and many of Sandra's relatives worked in Chicago’s financial district.
Sandra began her business career as a research associate at Aegis Capital Group, as an assistant in the research and analysis of retail stocks, preparing weekly stock newsletters to clients, and identifying investment opportunities. Smith’s next employment was a trader at Hermitage Capital Management, where she executed U.S. equities and options orders, conducted portfolio analysis, and prepared commission reports.
Sandra Smith debuted on Television as an on-air reporter for Bloomberg Television, where she covered U.S. equities and derivatives markets. She then joined Fox Business Network in October 2007. She first worked as a reporter and has appeared on various Fox News Channel shows namely, Fox Business Happy Hour, Red Eye w/Greg Gutfeld and Hannity. In April 2014, she debuted as the co-host of the Outnumbered with Harris Faulkner.
