Netflix Special: Chris Rock Talks on Porn Addiction and Cheating on His Wife in Candid

In Tamborine, released on early Wednesday morning on Netflix, Chris Rock took on many hot-button issues, while also delving into his own personal life and mistakes that includes his self-described porn addiction and cheating on his ex-wife.

Chris didn't waste more time to jump into the deep end and he started the 64-minute special, wondering why cops don’t shoot a white kid every now and then “just to make it look good.”

The 53-year-old stand-up comedian proceeded to weigh in on everything from gun control to Donald Trump to religion.

The special episode takes its name from Chris’ comparison of being in a relationship to being in a band.

Sometimes you sing lead, and sometimes you’re on tambourine. And if you’re on tambourine, play it right. Play it with a f—ing smile, because no one wants to see a mad tambourine player.

It turns out he did not play the tambourine right, as he admitted that he was “not a good husband.” “I was addicted to porn,” he said, joking that he was “15 minutes late everywhere.”

Chris further said,

When you watch too much porn, you know what happens? You become, like, sexually autistic. You develop sexual autism. You have a hard time with eye contact and verbal cues … You get desensitized. When you start watching porn, any porn will do. Then, later on, you’re all f—ed up and you need a perfect porn cocktail to get you off. I was so f—ed up, like, I needed an Asian girl with a black girl’s ass that speaks Spanish just to get my d— to move an inch. I’m a lot better now.

Rock then gushed about his divorce from Malaak Compton-Rock with whom he was married for 18 years.

He said,

It’s my fault, because I’m a f—ing asshole. I didn’t listen. I wasn’t kind. I had an attitude, I thought, ‘I pay for everything, I can do what I want.’ That s— don’t f—ing work. I just thought I was the s—. I didn’t play the tambourine.

This leads to Chris confessing that he was unfaithful and slept with three different women on the road.

He said,

It’s f—ed up. When guys cheat, it’s like we want something new. But then you know what happens? Your woman finds out, and now she’s new — she is never the same again. So now you have new, but you have a bad new.

Chris continued,

Some of these lessons you’ve just got to learn. Like, I brought this s— on myself. Nobody told me to go ho up. I brought this s— on myself, and you’ve got to learn some lessons, some man lessons.

After talking about his marriage, Chris explained his new life as a single man, including an embarrassing encounter with Rihanna.

He asked the crowd,

You ever forget how old you are? Rihanna looked at me like I was one of her aunts. She didn’t even register me as a d—-carrying member of society. Like, I would have had an easier time f—ing Aretha Franklin.

But now that Chris is back in the world of dating, Chris promises he is done being unfaithful. Well, “Unless Rihanna …”

Tamborine is now available to stream on Netflix.
