Matt Preston is an Australian from English ethnic background, well-known as a judge on Network Ten’s "Master Chef Australia." He is a food journalist, food critic, recipe writer and television personality, born in London, United Kingdom. Matt was born in a Roman Catholic family as the son of British Naval journalist, Antony Preston and grew up along with his siblings in London. He attended the Worth School in Sussex and pursued his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kent with BA Hons in Politics and Government. Regarding his ethnicity, he is white and holds British Nationality.

He Started his career as a writer at City Limits and IPC magazines. Later, Matt became the Australian TV correspondent for IPC and wrote articles for TV Times. He also worked for Melbourne Magazines as a writer. After several years of hard work, he started working as a full-time food correspondent for The Counter Mail, The Daily Telegraph and Herald Sun

Moving towards his personal life, Australian chef, Matt Preston married his long-term girlfriend, Emma Preston in 1999. The couple is blessed with three children namely Jonathan, William, and Sadie. Matt and Emma are living together happily and there is no any sign and rumors of their divorce or extra-marital affairs. Besides, there were also rumors that Matt is a gay, but the rumors were never confirmed.
