Linkin Park singer "Chester Bennington" died of an apparent suicide by hanging at the age of 41
Linkin Park 's lead singer, Chester Bennington has died at the age of forty-one. He was found dead in his private apartment in Palos Verdes Estate in Los Angeles on Thursday morning at around 9 pm.
The policed has suspected the death to be a suicide case by hanging. According to the police, the artist struggled with substance abuse and addiction in the past.

In an interview with Noisecreep in 2009, he had hopenly spoken about his struggle with drugs and alcohol. He candidly opened up saying
“It’s not cool to be an alcoholic — it’s not cool to go drink and be a dumbass “It’s cool to be a part of recovery.
He further said
"This is just who I am, this is what I write about, what I do, and most of my work has been a reflection of what I’ve been going through in one way or another.”

Mike Shinoda, another vocalist of the Band announced Chester's death on twitter, he wrote

His fans are heartbroken to hear about the news of his death, they have shared their messages for the departed soul via their social handles.
The band was formed in 1999 and it rose to fame with its very first album Hybrid Theory for which was nominated for Grammy awards for the best rock album the same year.
