American retired basketball player, Jayson Williams played for the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets of the National Basketball Association. He was born on February 22, 1968 in Ritter, South Carolina, United States to parents Elijah Joshua Williams and Barbara Williams. His mother worked for years at Gouverneur skilled nursing facility in lower Manhattan. His father died at the age of 74 in November 2009. He is American and is of Polish, Italian and African-American descent.

He is a married man. First he got married to Kellie Batiste. She is model. They got engaged to be married in August 1998. They got married on 27 December, 1999 at his 60-acre estate in Clinton, N. but they called off their marriage within a few month. Kellie filed for divorce. The couple is still together. They have two children.

He was selected by an American professional basketball team based in Phoenix, Arizona named Phoenix Suns in 1990. He was selected in the first round with the 21st pick of the 1990 NBA Draft.  His draft rights were traded to the Philadelphia 76ers where he served as a bench player for two seasons.

He served 18 month prison sentence for the fatal shooting of his limo driver named Christofi of age 55 that was held in 2002. He was prison sentence in 2010 for 18 month. From 2010 to April 2012 he spent behind the prison. He paid Christofi’s family 2.75 million dollars to settle a wrongful death lawsuit.

On 5 January 2005, he was charged with driving with intoxicated. In that time, he crashed his car into a tree in the early morning in Manhattan. He was sentenced with to prison and he paid $16,433 fine for the damage to the tree.
