Jake Hurwitz, a son of a Jewish father and Christian mother, was born in Connecticut; the United States on August 5, 1985. He is a American comedian, writer, and actor. Jake enrolled in Hebrew School and then, attended Hunter College, then, New School University in the New York City. Jake's full name is Jacob Penn Cooper Hurwitz. He is known as the comedy partner of Amir Blumenfeld.

Jake Hurwitz started his career as he was still in college; with a book The College Humor Guide to College, and started writing a column for the comedy website CollegeHumor. After he had transferred to Hunter College, he became an intern at the company – CollegeHumor. Later working full time, he wrote and acted in original videos. Hurwitz then became a cast member on The CollegeHumor Show in 2009.

Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld met in 2006 when the two started their internship at CollegeHumor.  In 2008, the PC Magazine was listed under the “Top 100 Undiscovered Web Sites” later on the 14th Webby Awards in 2010, Jake and Amir won a People’s Voice Award for Comedy.

Hurwitz at the beginning of 2009, he was in a relationship with Bee Shaffer, daughter of Anna Wintour. Jake and Anna appeared on the Webby Awards together in 2010, where Jake got awarded for his acting. Later that year the two moved to Los Angeles together and separated in 2012. Through his comedy and acting, he has an estimated net worth of $500 thousand.
