Jada Koren Pinkett Smith is an American actress. She is also a singer and a songwriter. She is also known to be a businesswoman. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, United states of America on 18th of September 18, 1971. Her parents are Adrienne Banfield-Jones, the head nurse of an inner-city clinic in Baltimore, and Robsol Pinkett, Jr., who ran a construction company. She is of African, American, West Indian, Creole, Portuguese and Jewish ancestry. She was enrolled at the Baltimore School for the Arts, where she met and became lifelong friends with classmate Tupac Shakur. There she studied major dance and theatre and finally graduated in 1989.

Pinkett met her future husband, Will Smith in 1994 on the set of Smith's television show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Because of her height, the role went to actress Nia Long. Pinkett and Smith became friends, however, and she started her love affairs with him and claimed Will as her boyfriend in 1995. They finally married on December 31, 1997. About 100 guests attended their wedding at The Cloisters, near her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. They have two children together, Jaden Smith and Willow Smith. 

Smith started her acting career in 1990, when she starred in an episode of True Colors.
