Erin F. Moriarty (born April 6, 1952) is an American television news reporter and correspondent. She has won national Emmy Awards several times. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States of America. She was enrolled at Upper Arlington High School in Columbus, Ohio, and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Ohio State University, where she was also a sister of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She also holds a law degree from Ohio State University. There is no information about her parents and her brothers and sisters.

She began working for CBS News in 1986. There she worked as a consumer correspondent for CBS This Morning and the CBS Evening News along with Dan Rather. She worked there for four years and in 1990, she joined the CBS News program 48 hours as a correspondent.

She is also an excellent writer and it can be proved through her several writings. In 2008, she co-authored "Death of a Dream" with Paul LaRosa. He is also a CBS News producer. The book explains the 2005 murder of dancer Catherine Woods in New York, and the subsequent trial and conviction of Paul Cortez.
