Donna Brazile is an author from United States. She is also known for being the academic and political analyst and the Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee. In 1988, she joined Michael Dukakis general election campaign as its deputy field director. At the end of 1988, she created the news about the George H. W. Bush on his extramarital affair. After this news broke in the media, she was fired by Michael Dukakis. She also worked for Congressional Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton of the District of Columbia as its Chief of Staff and Press Secretary. At the end of 1990s, she joined the 2000 presidential campaign of Vice-President Al Gore as campaign manager. This made her the first African-American woman to manage a major party presidential campaign in the United States.
