David Jason Muir (born November 8, 1973) is an American journalist. He is also an anchor of ABC World News Tonight with David Muir, the news department of the ABC broadcast-television network based in New York City. He was born in Syracuse, New York, United States of America to Ronald Muir and Pat Mills. He was raised in Onondaga Hill. He has one older sibling, Becky, three nieces and one nephew.
