Charmayne Maxwell was a music artist from Guyana. She was gifted with a loving voice and she was mainly known for being the former lead vocalist of an American female contemporary R&B group Brownstone. Industrious and enthusiastic lady, Charmayne Maxwell was born at the end of 1960 in Guyana. She spent most of her childhood days in Guyana and then she moved to United States.

Before Maxwell died in the early 2015, she tied her married knot with Soulshock. Soulshock is a Record producer and he is also known for being a songwriter. As a loving husband and wife, they had a son named Nicholas Schack. This married life ended in 2015 because of her death on 28th of February 2015. Her nationality was American and has mixed ethnicity.

Maxwell moved to United States with a dream to pursue her music career. While giving auditions in the Los Angeles, she met other members of Brownstone like Monica "Mimi" Doby, and Nichole "Nicci" Gilbert. Together they came up with an idea of an American female contemporary R&B group Brownstone in the mid 1990s. They formed this group in 1994 and that year they released the singles like Pass the Lovin and If You Love Me. If You Love Me became massive hit in United States and it entered number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles chart. That year they also recorded their debut album under the title From the Bottom Up and their debut album was finally released on 10th of January 1995. Their second album Still Climbing was released on 24th of June 1997. She died at the age of 46. Her net worth was unknown.
