The couple is totally smitten in love with each other, so, can it be said after looking at Anton and his wife Cate's chemistry, the two are a soul mate, a perfect match for each other? Let's hear it from the Elizabeth (1998) star herself,

In February 2007, the Australian actress describes her state of mind towards marriages. Cate told Marie Claire, fashion/beauty blogger,

I think marriage is all about timing. Getting married is insanity; I mean, it’s a risk – who knows if you’re going to be together forever? But you both say, ‘We’re going to take this chance, in the same spirit."

She further added that she doesn't buy on the issue of "soul mates". May be she doesn't believe in soulmates but it doesn't matter as the couple have gotten along with each other and is one successful couple now. And the Elizabeth star has her own way for a successful marriage and admits that she has an upper hand in among the couple.

Cate says that she runs her as a "well-oiled machine" by keeping a close eye on all of her husband's messages.

It is not an idea that would appeal to every husband: allowing your wife unfettered access to your email account. Yet, Cate Blanchett says she runs her household as a “well-oiled machine” by reading all messages addressed to her husband, Andrew Upton. Cate said,

We work together and it’s a way of synchronizing our lives. I can see what he’s up to – it’s not that I don’t trust him .

Trust is indeed necessary to keep a hold on a relationship.

While she admits her control over her husband, Andrew, she also admits that he is a great man with decency and feels happy to have found him in life as a husband. In a recent interview with The Telegraph, the actress said,

I’m incredibly fortunate to have met the intelligent, generous, risk-taking, stimulating man to whom I am married. He’s really amazing,

Cate further added that,

I don’t think it’s more difficult for actors to have a good marriage than anyone. I think in the end a really important component of any relationship is honesty, and it also comes down to luck.

A long way marriage is a mixture of love, trust, faith, and a bit of a luck. And the couple stood up high on the list. In the decades' long marriage, the couple has been on good terms with each other. And the love birds are living up happily with their four children: three biological children and an adopted one.
