Adam Wainwright, born on August 30, 1981, is an American professional baseball player who plays as starting pitcher. He was born in Brunswick, Georgia to Bill and Nancy Wainwright and he has an older brother Trey. He passed his higher education from Glynn Academy. In his college days, he also played football (American), in which he was named to the All-State team as a wide receiver.
The 6 ft 7-inch tall baseball player was first picked up by the Atlanta Braves in the first round of the 2000 MLB draft. He was soon advanced to Atlanta's Class A Danville Braves. He first pitched for the Macon Braves in the South Atlantic League in 2001.
Wainwright married his high school girlfriend, Jenny Curry, in 2004 at an age of 23. He has three daughters with his wife Jenny and they are living on St. Simons Island, Georgia.
